Bee Perfection
After extensive reading about beekeeping, I realized how important 'organic' is if you are going to use their wax for any cosmetic product, around food, or near your own healthy bees. The majority of beekeepers are heavily medicating honeybees for various diseases and these antibiotics and other drugs are then transmitted by the honeybees into their own honey , wax, propolis, etc. Well worth buying 'organic'. This product was well sealed, packed, and shipped quickly.

But I'll tell you anyway. So I bought this beeswax in order to make my own mustache wax blend. Having no control to compare this to, this beeswax is more organic than any other I've used. It melts well. Combines with petroleum jelly well. Hardens as expected. The best part is that I'm smelling a faint honey aroma all day rather than the chemically glue like smell of the mass fabricated wax I used prior. The picture is somewhat misleading. Sadly, the melted in "BEESWAX" is not melted in. I'm sure with a little patience and wherewithal, a person could melt their own labeling on it, so as to avoid confusing it with a block of cheddar (for those without a sense of taste, smell, and touch). Anyway, make this your beeswax, poindexter.

Very high quality...
Perfect for Bear Makers: Melts quickly, stays smooth... very high quality. Perfect for waxing bear noses, re-melts nicely after applying to the cotton floss.Aside from crafting, I'd love to try making something more day-to-day with this... like lip balm. It just has such a nice light scent.I'll be back for more of this when I burn through this 1 pound block. It's definitely replacing the blocks I had been buying prior to trying this supplier.

Excellent quality!
I used to have to buy those 1 pound chunks of beeswax even if I only needed a little bit. What a pain to melt it! It always made such a mess - I'd much rather buy these little bars. The wax is perfect, smells fantastic and comes in handy for all sorts of crafts and projects!

This wax is spectacular. I have a larger chunck of organic wax that is nothing like this. This smells very clearly of honey. the oz bars make handling much easier. and if not for the S/H, this product would be a total steal. I love this product. BTW I use it to make lip gloss/balm, and put it in lotions too. divine. worth it. get it!

almost as strong as the original
Ok I can honestly say that I have been using the same can of original formula murray's since october last year, I just checked. And it is simply the best stuff I have ever used. There was a skit of the chapelle show and the prize was a lifetime supply of murray's, and the funny part it was only one can. No seriously, one can will last you a very ling time. the hold is better then anything known to man... that said it is however hard to get it out of your hair, if say you wanted to cut your hair. So finally comes my way murray's beeswax, stated on their website it is almost as strong. And I agree, yet somehow it feels softer in a way and washes out a lot easier. Here is what I do now, I will use the original one day then the next two days or so I will use the beeswax. And by then if I choose I can easily wash it out with some deep cleaning shampoo. I hardly want to wash this out of my hair, i really think it looks better a couple days without washing it out. The smell is not like the...

This product reminds you of another well known PETROLEUM BASED pomade, Tres Flores (Three Flowers). I purchased this product thinking that I was going to get what the label states "100% PURE AUSTRALIAN BEESWAX". This product, though, is PETROLEUM BASED (petroleum jelly) and has mixed in it the beeswax, so the label is a bit misleading. The product smells good enough to put in your hair, if that's why you are buying it, but if you really wanted 100% Beeswax then this is not what you want to buy. "amazon.com" should list the ingredients to this product so that consumers know exactly what they are buying. I would use this product on my own head, but unfortunately I shave my head and therefore have no real use for it. I gave this product 4 stars for what it is intended for, not because I bought something I don't need.

This comes just as you would expect, a hexagon of beeswax.there's not much more to say really. Not sure what others might need to use it for... but I use it to "seal" wood plugs for stretched earlobes. And it works great for that...

Does not come in honey comb shape and quality isn't as good as I've had.
Instead of getting a honey comb shaped block as shown in the picture, you get two sticks of wax. I've purchased beeswax locally and it smells more sweet and natural than this beeswax. For those two reasons I'm giving it 3 stars.Continually learning about beeswax, I learned about pesticides being sprayed in and around the hive, collecting in the wax which makes the wax not ideal (and probably not safe) for cosmetic use (i.e. homemade lotion or lip balm, made by mixing the wax with olive oil). The wax is advertised as "Collected from unsprayed and unfertilized fields of wild flowers", but it does not say if the hive itself is treated with pesticides. I emailed the company asking them if pesticides were used and if it's safe to use the wax for cosmetic purposes, but got no response. I can only assume the the difference in quality of smell with the wax I bought locally is because of the pesticides, plus when I use it as a lip balm I get a weird taste in my mouth. I would...
