Please read my comments on N4AØF, seems like all of his comments are Ø or 1*.We do have 8 indoor pets and one got away by tearing the screen in our lanai, returning covered with fleas. Luckily 90% of the living area of our home has hard wood flooring with the exception of one bedroom (carpeted). The Vet. Prescribed Frontline® Plus and suggesting the use of a box of "20 mule team" Borax, for the carpeted area & everyone's bedding. We are flea less in less than a week. I also recommend this product for your washing machine, dishwasher and sinks plus many other uses.

CHEAP laundry booster that deodorizes and whitens without bleach
I fell for the hype by Oxyclean and paid $18 for a large bucket hoping I would have fresh smelling laundry and sparking white whites. I was disappointed with the results.One time I was shopping at local grocery store and I happened to see 20 Mules Borax on the shelf and was reading the box and curiosity was piqued and since it was only 3 dollars for the box, I thought no harm in trying in my laundry. Well, after several washes with noticeably fresh smelling laundry and definitely noticeable white towels with no bleach being used, I was sold on this product.I highly recommend in using this product. Previously I also used baking soda with my laundry detergent to get the smell out and it did not work as well as Borax.I use Borax as laundry booster with one of those ecogreen liquid laundry detergents.

Great for laundry, no irritating perfumes !
My laundry, white and colored, comes out nice and bright, without need for bleach. No irritating and annoying scent to make me sneeze.I dont use any other detergent. Best prices at Walmart and Shoprite. You may have to ask for it, sometimes it's not very visible.

Best Cleaner
Borax might be old fashioned, but it is the best cleaner I have every used! And it is all purpose...you can use it in every room for practically every cleaning need including dishes and in your laundry! The nice thing about Borax is that it doesn't have any perfumes but instead naturally deordorizes while it cleans. I have used 20 Mule Team Borax also to remove stains from fabrics effectively. I have also used it instead of harsh cleansers for my sinks, stove, and countertops. Overall, I recommend 20 Mule Team Borax as an economical, higly effective, and natural cleaner.

Great flea killer!
I've used 20 Mule Team Borax for decades to be safely rid of fleas. I sprinkle it lightly over my carpets after every vacuuming. Walking on the carpet pounds it into the carpet backing. No more costly and toxic dips or sprays since I discovered this. I always have a box handy.

Great All Around Cleaner
I use this in the dishwasher when I run out of my 7th Generation or Melaleuca. It's 100% safe. Contains no phosphates. I also use it to add to the water to wash my kitchen and bathroom floors. If you need your cleaner to have that "clean" smell, just add some essential oil to it. I've used lemon, tea tree oil, lavendar and eucalyptus. They all smell great and make me want to use the Borax all the time, and why wouldn't you! It's safe around kids and pets.Oh, and I forgot to mention, it keeps the spiders, centipedes and other pests at bay too. Just sprinkle around your walls in the basement or where ever you have a problem.

this is $3 at target and i have a target card that saves 5% everyshopping trip so if you combine them you save eeven more although its not much it adds up just get it at target or walmart imsure they have it also this is an outragous price for the same oz.

Great stuff!
I cannot say a bad thing about the product. The price as offered on Ammy is way too high however. I only bought it because I cannot find it locally. Since then, I've found a local source to order it from.I use this an alternative to bleach in my laundry. We have high iron in our water, so bleach makes things worse. Secondly, I sprinkle it in my carpets during high season for fleas -- it kills them near instant without the use of an indoor fogger. It is also a great product to sprinkle around the foundation of ones home -- it keeps ants out.Overall, this is a superior product to most other 'new and improved' chemical products and isn't harmful to the environment, people or pets.

Borax rocks, this price doesn't
Borax is a great all-around cleaner, and it kills ants and fleas for less money than pesticides. That is, IF you buy it at your local grocery store, Wal-Mart, or hardware store, where the same size box is $4 or less. This $12 price is gouging!

Great laundry booster
I bought a case of six boxes of this from the manufacturer to get free shipping -- I use about 1/4 cup in my laundry with a little Borax and a TINY bit of laundry detergent. I'm surprised and pleased to find that even my oldest towels smell CLEAN and FRESH where before, even with line-drying outdoors in the sun, they smelled old and kind of sour. Where have they been hiding this stuff? It's great, worth every penny. Very highly recommended!

White towels white!
I was having trouble with my white towels getting yellow, blotchy stains. For years, I could not figure it out. Nothing worked. Finally... using a 1 to 1 ratio, I mixed one cup of Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda with one cup of 20 Mule Team Borax. I then added about three tablespoons of this mixture, along with a little bit of my regular detergent, per washing load, and "Voila" my towels were white. They smelled fresh and felt great! This mixture probably neutralized my water enough to release the stains. For a great price, you'll find this at all Walmarts ~~right next to the 20 Mule Team Borax. (I thank my daughter for the terrific idea...I now use it all the time.) My husband is the only one disappointed...he no longer has towels in his rag bag.

Good for homemade laundry soap ingredient
It's just baking soda on steroids. But unlike baking soda, this stuff is sodium carbonate, which has one atom instead of two, making it harsher than baking soda. So, don't eat it like you can do with baking soda, just clean with it. One thing I have noticed about washing soda as opposed to baking soda is it's much less powdery and dusty compared to baking soda.. That I really like.I recently discovered the joys of making and having my own laundry soap. Having this substance is essential for that process. It's also good as a non-toxic substitute for making other cleansers and as a laundry additive. It's especially helpful for those of us that live in hard water areas, because it helps to change polarity and keep hard water from staining and causing damage.I don't know about you guys, but I'm tired of using all those toxic cleansers. I don't even use chlorine bleach anymore.Those of you on here griping about the price of things when you write a review...

Works great
I just tried this in a recipe for home made laundry detergent1 bar Fels Naptha grated/shredded1 cup A&H SUPER WASH SODA 55 OZ1 cup Dial #00368 76OZ 20 Mule Team Boraxmix all ingredients and store in a air tight container and use 2 tablespoons at a time.It got the cloths clean and left them bright and fluffy. leaves no scent. It does not suds up but it does work

best stain remover on the planet
Fels-Naptha is the most amazing spot cleaner I have found and it's easy to use! It takes out grass stains, very oily stains, ring around the collar and even orange soda pop that has been on a t-shirt for 2 weeks. Just wet the problem spot and rub the wet soap bar into the bad stain. Once you have the spot all lathered up, rub the fabric too, like how the old fashioned scrub board was used. Throw the clothing in the washing machine. Remember heat sets the stain, so don't put the item in the dryer until you make sure the stain is really gone. Really bad items like fabric yellowed by age may take 2 treatments. I buy some really nice clothes at garage sales and thrift stores then treat the spots with Fels Naptha. It helps me have a fabulous wardrobe I wouldn't buy otherwise. This soap even works on silk. I find breaking the bar in half helps make it easier to use. I hope they make this soap forever!

Great for washing clothes in the washer & for spot treating
As other reviewers have said, this is a great spot treatment. However, they're working too hard! I just put a bar in a pitcher with hot tap water and let it dissolve as much as it will, to create a saturated solution. I use an old toothbrush and this solution for spot treating, and I pour 1-4oz of this liquid soap into the washing machine as a great detergent substitute! (I also add 1 T. of washing soda + Borax combined)It's cheap, easy, and effective.

Best Hand Soap Ever
We've used this product for years. My husband likes to work on cars and has found this to be the best hand soap for removing grease and dirt. Boraxo is mined out of the earth and it's granular consistency works better than any other product in the removal of grease and dirt. All you do is pour a little in your hand, add water, work up a lather and rinse. If you still have some dirty spots, just add a little powder and scrub those spots, then rinse. It is a natural, organic product that is not harsh to your skin. I even use it as a facial scrub for smooth, young looking skin.In the kitchen, Boraxo removes the smell of diced onions/garlic from hands. It has a clean fragrance and leaves skin feeling silky and smooth.
