A Super Cuppa Joe
On vacation, I had breakfast at "Two Cats" Restaurant in Bar Harbor, ME. The breakfast was excellent, the ambience was colorful & intriguing, but it was the coffee that is my lasting memory. What a unique, delicious way to start that day. The following day I drove a considerable distance to that restaurant again just for another cup (I'd already had breakfast) AND to find out what kind of coffee they served. This product is their source. I often order coffee from Hawaii or Costa Rica and tend to buy the best brands locally, because I truly enjoy a good cup of coffee. This particular coffee has a flavor that reminds of a french or dark roast, but it lies a bit more softly and pleasingly on the palate. Like a fine wine or light dessert. There is a mellow boldness about it that satisfies with a smile and invites another sip, another savoring moment, another cup. It is one of the few super cuppa Joe's I have found that are affordable enough to be enjoyed often. The flavor/price ratio is...

Very nice cup
I am very fussy about coffee. This trait had relegated me to all coffee buying responsibilities for our small office. These beans are mellow but full bodied (crowd pleaser and snob pleaser, all in one bag). We haven't poured a bad cup and have been using these beens for months. Stocking my office with acceptable beans is no longer a chore. This is a simple one-click, 2 days later (prime)we get our fresh beans. Saves a lot of hassle and I really enjoy the coffee. You can get a 5 star bag by searching and scouring local roasters, but I'm very happy with these beans for their price and convenience.

Delicious coffee - and strong!
Absolutely amazing! My European husband is picky about his coffee and he loves this. It is quite strong, so we use less per the amount of water than with other coffee, and this makes it last longer. Great coffee and a great company - Equal Exchange is truly the gold standard in helping farmers in the developing world grow great coffee for people in America and beyond...

Great strong coffee with no bitter aftertaste
This coffee was one of the best whole bean coffee's I've purchased from Amazon. I use it to supplement my normal monthly purchases of and . (Yes I drink a lot of coffee in my house) I found the slight orange hints in the the roast to be very pleasant to the palette but not too overpowering in caffeine. It's very smooth and as my title suggests, no bitter aftertaste. I feel this blend is worth at least a try if you like stronger dark roasts. Tried this in a French press and a conventional machine. Makes a great cup in...

Good coffee
Our family enjoys most of the equal exchange coffees. This one is a good compromise for my husband and myself. He prefers very strong coffee and I prefer something smooth. Mind Body and Soul satisfies both of our palates.

Love this coffee
I love love love this coffee! It's rich, bold, and very seductive in taste. This is my second shipment of it and I can say that it has become my favorite coffee. I wish amazon would sell the 5lb bulk bags but I will live with it sold like this.

Very smooth, but does not taste like Ethiopian :(
I ordered the Equal Exchange Organic Ethiopian Coffee after receiving a notice (prior to my subscription shipment) that the price had gone up on the , a coffee I discovered after a long search and many pounds of not very good coffee. The price on the equal exchange was about 15-20% lower; what i had been paying for the other when I subscribed, and had a lot of good reviews so I thought I would give it a try.It is a nice smooth mild and non-acidic coffee *BUT* it does not have the distinctive taste of Ethiopian, or any African coffee I have tried. I love African coffee. In fact, the only reason I am ordering coffee is that noone brings African coffees into Hawaii :( :( For many years I had...

Most students have to wait until college to study abroad, if they do at all, but a handful of Ballard students are getting the opportunity to go to the Amazon in middle school. Bohannon said it was kind of a fluke that of all the places he could take students, he decided on the Amazon.
