I had some concern that this iron was counterfeit. I had purchased knockoff CHI irons (unbeknownst to me) on this site before. Fortunately, as I found, GHD has a verification tool on their site. Take the time to register your iron there to make sure it's not a fake [...] As far as the iron itself, it is a sturdy, quality iron that heats up lightning fast. Amazing, as usual, I love my GHDs!
The new 'dark' GHDs are fabulous, I love them. I have frizzy hair before using them, but they leave my hair silky smooth & perfectly straight; I recommend them to everyone! These are the best hair straighteners ever - they're much better than CHI. They get super-hot & are the best hair irons I have ever used. They last me about 1-2 years, if I use them 3-4 times a week. My hair is just below shoulder-length & I can have straight, sleek hair in about 15-20 mins.

The one sold by amazon is authentic. And i registered it on GHD's website. It works ok. Flatten my hair as well as curl my roomie's hair. Maybe I am not familiar with it, it didn't turn out perfectly when I 1st tried it. But I will keep practice~~ 1 star off for the high price... But it's cheaper than the one on Sephora's website. even sephora has 20% off, the one on amazon is still cheaper~~~

I was really worried about spending so much on an iron. I mean come on, how could it be worth that kind of money? But it IS. It works great, gives me salon-pretty hair, and is easy to use. I had a CHI Turbo before and thought it was good, but this blows it away. My hair looks naturally beautiful rather than made up and the effect lasts for days. AMAZING PRODUCT....
Needed a new flat iron. did alot of research before buying. My hair is a combination of straight/slightly wavy but mostly thin...I use a flat iron to just even all out and it does not usually take long. With this product it is even faster....you hair does not get stuck in the plates like some others it smooths out so evenly in one stroke....this is a great buy for anyone that needs a good quick/reliable flat iron. Just wanted to share that I just registered the styler and it's authentic. Good deal, but I mistakenly thought I was getting the hairdryer, which comes with the deluxe version for a little more. I LOVE this straightener!
First off, you need to be very careful because there are a lot of fakes out there and even some have said they bought a fake off of Amazon. You need to check who is supplying Amazon before you buy! The official GHD website has a listing of approved sellers. I got mine from my stylist and I have to say this is the best straightener I've ever owned. I have very dry, coarse, frizzy, wavy hair and my GHD magically makes my hair straight, shiny, and fine rather than dry, coarse and godawful! This thing is awesome! I've even used a CHI and the GHD outperforms it. It's well worth the money in my opinion.Now, the travel dryer it came with is another thing. It made my hair like straw. I did several days of research before deciding to buy the GHD Purple Limited Edition Styler set. I had read that GHD is the number one hair iron in Europe and was slowly becoming more popular in the U.S. The Sedu Revolution was a close second, but for monetary purposes and of course, because this styler came with other goodies that were also purple, this won. My set arrived in the GHD box pictured with tags on the travel case/bag and also came with instruction & safety manuals for both the styler and dryer, plus an instructional dvd on using them to create various styles. The hair clips it came with are smaller than I thought they would be (maybe 3 inches long), but have their own zippered compartment they are kept in and where you can also store other hair clips, bands or small accessories. Better than the CHI, hands down
I love my ghd flat iron! It heats up in 30 seconds flat, makes my hair do whatever I want it to, and most importantly, it has a 30 minute safety shut down if I ever forget to switch it off.
