Timeless
Even with the technology of recent animated films, Space Jam still holds it ground as one of the best. It combines great animation with the classic humor of Looney Tunes. This film is great for basketball lovers of all ages because it includes humor for both kids and adults. This film is also a must have for any Michael Jordan Fan. An all-around awesome film. The dual-disk is entertaining, especially if you enjoy looney tunes cartoons which are included in the special features. The behind the scenes and commentary are interesting and informing. Good if you are interested in animation or film making. The special features includes two music videos: Seal's "Fly like and Eagle" and The Monstar's Theme by a selection of rappers from the era. It does not include R. Kelly's video for "I Believe I can Fly."

Slam Dunk
Space Jam teams up His Airness, Michael Jordan, with His Hareness, Bugs Bunny, for a fun, and funny, family film.Michael Jordan has retired from basketball, and currently playing baseball, when Bugs Bunny and his Looney Tunes pals ask for his help in playing a b-ball game against diminuative aliens from Moron Mountain. These aliens have stolen the talent of 5 NBA players, including Charles Barkley and Patrick Ewing, and are now larger than life. Since this is Looney Tunes Land, this game is NOT your average basketball game. If it was, it wouldn't be any fun.Though not an actor of any kind in anyone's book, Michael Jordan does a very good job of interacting with his cartoon co-stars. Most of the jokes are well done and the basketball game itself is a lot of fun. In addition, it is quite funny to watch the 5 NBA players that had their "games" stolen trying to cope with their newfound ordinaryness. This movie is not groundbreaking by any means and most all of the original Looney...

A Review of the Two-Disc DVD
The new "Space Jam" 2-Disc DVD is a fun addition to any Looney Tunes or family DVD collection. Disc One features the film, which can be enjoyed with commentary from the director, as well as Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck. Most DVD commentaries are a bore to sit through--and this one does have its over technical moments (especially if you have young children who "believe in" Bugs or Daffy), but the comments from the characters are very witty--including a jab that Bugs throws at Michael Jordan early in the presentation (concerning his brief baseball career).Rounding out the first disc is the theatrical trailer of the film (this is almost a MUST with me for any DVD).The Second Disc is a nice bonus and could have easily been packaged as a stand-alone item. It features a "Making of Space Jam" and several Looney Tunes shorts (from the 1980's and 1990's), as well as the 1988 television special, "Bugs vs. Daffy: Battle of the Music Video Stars". Speaking of music videos, the second...

Product Description

His Airness and His Hareness; what a team! Michael Jordan slams, Bugs Bunny jams and a cavalcade of Looney Tunes and NBA stars hoop it up in the rim-rattlin', out-of-this-world, roundball romp: Space Jam. Top to learn more

Although at first glance it looks like a movie dreamed up by a marketing committee (and in some respects it probably was), Space Jam actually defies the odds against it to become a dazzling display of family entertainment. There's a kind of demented genius to the idea of casting NBA superstar Michael Jordan in a live-action and animated movie costarring the beloved characters from Warner Bros.' Looney Tunes cartoons. They play off each other like seasoned veterans of vaudeville, and Jordan never falls into the kind of awkward, amateurish showmanship that you might expect from a sports idol. He's comfortable in the cartoon land of his costars, who include Bugs Bunny and sexy newcomer Lola Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Elmer Fudd, Sylvester & Tweety, Speedy Gonzalez, the Tazmanian Devil, Foghorn Leghorn, and Yosemite Sam. They've all been hijacked to an outer-space amusement park run by the Nerdlucks, who strike a Faustian bargain with the Looney heroes: if Bugs and Co. can defeat the Nerdluck "Monstars" in a basketball game, they'll win back their freedom; if they lose, they'll be doomed to stay there forever as enslaved entertainers. So they kidnap Jordan as their coach and "secret weapon" while the nefarious Nerdlucks suck out the basketball skills from such stellar victims as Charles Barkley and Patrick Ewing. It all leads to reckless abandon on the basketball court, and Bill Murray pops in for some hilarious support. Combining traditional animation and computer-generated Nerdlucks with its live-action cast, Space Jam was made in the anarchic spirit of the Looney Tunes cartoons, where anything goes as long as it's funny and off-the-wall (or the ceiling, or the door, or the floor...). Technically astounding, it's also witty enough to entertain adults and kids alike. --Jeff Shannon Top to learn more

Best soundtrack I've ever heard
To put it plain and simple, this is a great cd. All the songs are good. I don't like rap music that much but I liked the ones from this album. Most soundtracks just have 1 or 2 great songs, but this one has a lot of them. Without a doubt, this is the best soundtrack that I've ever listened to. For most soundtracks, i'd recommend you to just get the single of the song you like, but you need to get this whole album. I liked Fly Like An Eagle, the Monstars' Anthem, and I Believe I Can Fly the best.

SOUNDTRACK SPACE JAM Top to learn more

Perfectly compliments the movie
When I first heard that there was a new movie called Space Jam starring Michael Jordan and Bugs Bunny, I was like, "Huh?" I wasn't really interested in seeing it (it turns out the movie IS pretty good), but I heard from my friends that the soundtrack is pretty decent. I listened to it, and they were right. The soundtrack seems to be PG-rated (if THAT), and it's a good thing because the movie is like that too. But another thing is that it seems to be targeted toward the high school audience (I was 15 when this came out), so if you're over 18, don't expect to be bumping this in your car or anything. This isn't to say the soundtrack is bad. There are great songs like R. Kelly's "I Believe I Can Fly", Monica's "For You I Will", and D'Angelo's "I Found My Smile Again". All-4-One also shows up to sing "I Turn To You", which most people probably didn't know was recorded before Christina Aguilera's 2000 #3 hit. I like Christina's rendition better, but this version is still good.Since...

Jammin'!
This is the best soundtrack I own(considering I only have 2,the other one is Titanic). It's for fans of pop/rock, r&b, and rap alike. About the highlights: 1. "Fly Like an Eagle"- Beautiful, inspirational, and uplifting. 4. "I Believe I can Fly"- Good for anyone going thru hard times. 3. "Space Jam"- It made me want to dance, which was unfortunate because I don't do that very well. 7. "For You I Will"- A melodic, but overplayed ballad. 8. "Upside Down"- A remake of the Diana Ross hit. Music to reminisce about your crushes to. 9. "Givin' U All That I've Got"- Slammin' beat, although I didn't always understand what Robin S. was singing. 10. "Basketball Jones"- Hilarious and written by none other than Cheech and Chong. 13. "That's the Way"- Another cover, this time of KC & the Sunshine Band. It's funky. The other songs were too hip-hop. Contrary to what another reviewer said, this CD had...

Beautiful, wonderful, perfect, extraordinary, wonderful, unbelievable, astounding
I have yet to read the undoubtedly beautiful novel, but the movie has sustained my love from 1996 to modern time and is not looking to go anywhere soon. Tears come to my eyes to see the underdogs come through when Michael Jordan uses the powers of Looney Tune Land by dunking the ball from half court via stretched arm. To say this was anything below five stars is to simply be wrong. Heck of a good showing, Space Jam.
