The keg was in good condition when I received the product. Also I thoroughly check the gaskets on the whole entire keg and they seemed to be brand new, now for the bonus is they sent me a second set of packaged and new gaskets. Party star keg and tap.
These little kegs are great for three gallon batches of beer or cider, think they are about 1.3 gallons each. They appear to have some kind of tap on the bottom that can be used gravity feed with out pressure I am guessing so flat beverage yuk. The tap that comes in the kit fits down through a rubber stopper and then you can charge the whole thing with a c02 cartridge like for a pellet gun. Was originally looking for a container that I could put in my beer tender, this looks like it will fit but not with the tap on without some serious mods to the lid. Company that sells these is great to deal with, will be ordering again from them! Have not seen these or the tap anywhere else online, looks like they are imported from Germany.

This is for four used Coke-style pin lock kegs. All kegs are pressure tested and all leaking O-Rings are replaced. Since they are used and reconditioned, the outside of a keg may have dings and scratches and other marks. The keg requires pin lock attachments for both gas and beer sides. It is a good idea to have a spare set of replacement o-rings always on hand and some keg o-ring lubricant. Lubricating the o-rings will help to make them last longer, but eventually they will become brittle and have to be replaced.
An advantage of pin lock kegs versus ball lock is that the lid to a pin lock keg does not have a relief valve where leaks commonly occur. Ball lock kegs have a relief valve on the lid and this poses as potential point for CO2 gas to leak if the relief valve is not properly seated into position. With a leak around the relief valve, the CO2 tank will empty and the beer will lose its carbonation. Furthermore, a reconditioned ball lock keg will commonly cost around $30-35. A new relief valve for a reconditioned keg will cost an additional $15.00 dollars to replace. This is a total of approximately $50.00 spent on one ball lock keg. The user may not have to immediately replace the relief valve on a ball lock keg, but eventually the valve will break and need to be replaced. With a reconditioned pin lock keg, there is no additional expense because there is no relief valve.
If the user needs to release the pressure from a pin lock keg, the use simply needs to attach an open disconnect to the keg and allow the gas to escape.
Pin lock kegs cost less than ball lock, are easier to use, and easier to maintain leak free, plus you will never confuse the gas and liquid plugs or connections because of the different number of pins on each. Top to learn more

Consider this the KRS-2200 and disregard the old reviews.
For starters, stop reading reviews prior to 2011. The early issues with this kegerator have been addressed to the point Nostalgia really should assign it a new model number. As reported by others the regulator is now a pretty nice dual gauge unit, with a lockable output valve. Meaning once you get your CO2 settings dialed in you can lock the knob so it doesn't get changed accidentally while changing out a keg, etc. Also, the unit is dead quiet. The instructions have been completely revamped and are very easy to follow. All the spare parts provided have been labeled in the manual, no mysteries there either. Before this arrived I downloaded a PDF copy of the old instructions, and it's true the early buyers were basically left in the dark. I followed the instructions, charged my tank, threw in a 1/4 barrel, and no problems at all. The beer has a perfect head on it, and my monitoring of temps have been hovering around 34-35f. With a little modification, you can turn this into a nice unit
I was looking for an inexpensive kegerator and didn't give this unit much of a look because there were several unflattering reviews on various sites. The major complaints seemed to be: 1) The unit would not go below the low 40's 2) The package included a single guage regulator However, there are various forums that gave detailed instructions on how to get around these limitations. First, the thermostat can be removed and with the turn of a screw the temperature can easily be lowered into the 30's. Second, a dual gauge regulator can be purchased and installed for about $50. I am hardly the handiest guy in the world but I had no problems doing this. I've owned this unit for about 2 weeks now and with these modifications I'm now enjoying ice-cold beer. I base my rating on quality of the unit for the price that I paid for it. I also took the time to document my experiences with the unit - I hope this proves useful to someone that... Great set-up
The faucet gets nice and cold so your beer pours without getting foamy or warm. Everyone knows how to operate the tap and it is always exactly where you expect it (not laying on the ground at the end of a dirty plastic hose. I have only used the gas twice, once as a back-up to my bigger tank and once at a tailgate where I didn't want to haul the big tank around. It works pretty well. There is no pressure gauge so you have to use the pour speed to determine how much gas to add (by pulling the trigger). In my limited experience, it takes about one and a half of the included cylinders to push a 5 gallon Cornelius to empty. I don't know where people get the idea that you would get a keg with this. A keg alone is the cost of this kit. Top to learn more
Coolest Kegging Accessory EVER!
This product is great. No longer do you have to lug around a CO2 dispenser and guage. This product just hooks right on the "in" part of your Cornelius keg and then you pull the trigger to charge your tank. In the wake of a woman’s death this fall at the Yale-Harvard game, Yale has implemented new tailgating policies that include no kegs at school athletic events and the ban of oversized vehicles in university lots, the school announced Friday. Nancy Barry, 30, of Salem, MA, was killed on November 19 after a U-Haul carrying beer kegs struck three women – killing Barry – before crashing in the lot that was hosting numerous tailgates before the rivalry game. While the decision to ban kegs probably won’t be popular with many, obviously drastic measures were expected to make sure nothing like that tragedy never happens again.
