Great for Improving the Safety of Fabric Crafts
I purchased this product when constructing homemade acoustic absorption "panels" using jute and burlap coffee bean bags filled with a sound absorption mat. As a rough test of its ability, I attempted to ignite one of the bags with a directed flame source for about 10 seconds, without success. This product has definitely eased my concerns about using jute "art" panels in my home studio.

It works great on hearth rugs.
We bought this spray to treat our hearth rug in front of our wood burning fireplace. It works really well. We've watched as large hot embers jumped through the screen only to go out as soon as landing on the treated rug. Before we had treated the rug, excaped hot embers would smolder and leave small burn marks on the rug. We feel much safer with this treatment on both the hearthrug and the surrounding areas.The only concern that we had was that the liquid was noted as "clear", but when we received it, the liquid was brown. We read the bottle to find that the liquid should be kept between 40 - 90 degrees F. Since we ordered it over the winter, the box had been sitting out in weather well under 40 degrees. We called the customer support number listed on the bottle and spoke with a very helpful woman who assured us that the liquid was still OK to use and would not color or stain our light colored carpet. Interior furnishings are the number one contributing factor to the swift spread of fire and smoke within a home. They also contribute to the phenomenon known as "flashover," in which the air within a structure becomes superheated, causing everything within the vicinity of the fire to explode into flames. Flashover is not survivable by occupants, and is dangerous to even protected firefighters. Any fire safety plan should therefore include protection of your interior furnishings from the spread of flames.
Helps Prevent Fires from Starting and Spreading
