Great kitchen Addition
This solid (and weighty) piece of equipment does a great job of mixing juices with powdered supplements, as well as ice cream drinks, etc. It has a compact triangular footprint (About 7-1/4" X 9" inches at the widest points) and is very stable. It is, however, an extremely tall appliance (18-3/8") which is too tall to fit under some overhead cabinets or on most shelves, so the buyer should check out storage options before purchasing. Although the stainless steel cup is 28 ounces, the maximum fill level is 16 ounces (and minimum is about 4 ounces--smaller quantities would not come in contact with the mixing disk.) This truly is very easy to clean - run with soapy water in the cup to wash and then with fresh water to rinse. Top to learn more

Durability is the key here
I got a deal on this one (clearance) but it's worth the full purchase price. The main thing that sold me was the fact that the whipping blade (agitator) is metal. All the other drink mixers I've seen have a cheap plastic agitator and I've heard stories about them chipping/breaking off which made me very hesitant, even though I've wanted one for a long time. This [one] will not chip or shatter...in fact it did a good job of nicking up my favorite 18/10 stainless steel spoon I was using to stir my first milkshake while it was mixing! It's a solid, well-built addition to your kitchen whether you use it once a month or 10 times a day. (It also looks great next to my KitchenAid mixer.) Top to learn more

Ebony (chrome) looks great; makes perfect protein shakes

Works great! Matches with LX. Made to Last.
They're not as light as the cheaper pedals of this type; however, the spd attachment is top quality and doesn't break.The outer area of the pedal is a very strong steel. The pedal's alloy core is colored exactly like the LX group, and as that is a trekking / touring group with the strongest materials and this is a trekking / touring pedal that has the same coloring and theme, then I believe that these are LX trekking pedals. As such, that means they work perfectly, all the time, and they're designed to last at least as long as a bike or two.Worthy of note is that these are a bit easier to access the platform side, albeit the methodology isn't typical. Instead of flipping it or "scuffing" with your toe, you can just pedal "around" and set your foot right down on it when it's up. This is a bit faster than typical, so its possibly less distracting in city traffic. Also, the SPD attachment is quite strong, so if you happen to mash down with a sneaker, there won't be... Great pedal for a serious commuter
I ride 15 miles each way to work in Chicago almost daily on a fast commuter bike. I finally broke down and bought these clip pedals after riding on regular flat pedals without cages or clips for a few years.The good:Being clipped in makes a BIG difference. More power, feels great.You can get out of these really easily. I haven't fallen over or had any major scares. The tension was set right already when the pedals arrived.The versatility of being able to ride either clipped or clipless is great. I rarely ride without being clipped in anymore, but when I need to, it's great to be able to do so comfortably.The not so good:A very few times, I've grounded out these pedals while riding fast around a hard corner while pedaling. They do have a little less clearance than a pure clip pedal. Not like it's a huge common problem, but it's happened a few times. Only happens when I'm really pushing hard. Versatile pedal, not perfect.
This is a great entry level pedal for those who want the efficiency of SPD with the convenience of a platform. There are two flaws worth noting though: 1) they are much heavier than any other pedal I've used (not as much of an issue for mtb though) and 2) it is somewhat annoying to have to consciously flip the pedal with your toe before clipping in (unlike a normal SPD with symmetric sides). Fits the portable Eclipse spa perfectly.
For some reason the filters for the Eclipse are hard to come by. There are others that sort of work but the thread at the bottom is a different pitch than the fitting in the tub. I'd sometimes just find the filter floating around. A lot of good it did that way. This filter however screws right in, and securely. I'll definitely be buying more. Top to learn more

Great price for this filter. Even with shipping, this product is less than half what I have to pay locally, and it arrived in a couple days. The use of transparent plates is not necessary but recommended to monitor the squeezing process of the PDMS and minimize the presence of bubbles in the final PDMS film Pieces of a film, which can be tape, pieces of a plastic bag or any film that... PDMS is first deposited on one plate and squeezed in between plates to get a PDMS film with thickness similar to that of the film used as spacer. 5 grams of mix should be plenty for a couple of films featuring an area of 8 by 8 cm and thickness of up to 200 µm. A. If you treated the surface of the plates with soap: after the plates are dry (but still with the dried soap layer on them), you... The pieces of film you use depend on the final thickness of the PDMS film and they can be obtained from a variety of sources, use your imagination. The final goal is to fabricate films which feature different thicknesses, according to the original film used as spacer, and different hardnesses, by changing the ratio of PDMS to cross linker. If using soap-treated plates: slowly but firmly separate the two plates, the PDMS film is likely to remain on one plate from where you can peel it off as shown in figure 5. The following tip describes an easy and inexpensive way to fabricate PDMS films of different thicknesses. This methodology allows for very quick fabrication of a wide range of PDMS films using off the shelf components which are common in a traditional laboratory and office or can be easily purchased. Do this on only two edges to allow plenty of space for the PDMS to flow out from between the plates during step 7. Clean the PDMS from your plates 2 rigid plates with at least one flat surface per plate.
Pore density is determined by the ratio of water volume to PDMS pre-polymer volume, as shown in Figure 2. Pour the PDMS pre-polymer and water (1% SDS inside) into a Petri dish with a given volume ratio, and manually blend them until a uniform emulsion (milky and opaque) is achieved.
