P50G10 Delivers a quality HD experience with extras
The P50G10 is my second HD Plasma experience, the first being a 2004 Panasonic, which still looks and works quite well. It has found another spot in our home to make room for the new G10 in our family room. When searching for and finally selecting the new Panasonic G10, I was comparing choices against this first experience considering both the manufacturer and the plasma technology. While I have a few smaller sized LCD's, mostly in the 20-32" range, I have never been overly impressed with the picture. The seem a bit cartoonish, even in HD mode, so I quickly settled on a plasma as my technology choice. Having made that decision the alternatives in terms of manufacturers narrowed quickly. Best picture quality and price combination
I bought the TC-P50G10 three weeks ago, and am very happy with it. I did a lot of research and tried out a number of TVs before settling down on this one, so I thought I would share some of the information and my experience with the TV, and hopefully make your decision in choosing the TV a bit easier. First thing first. According to my research, the Panasonic G10 probably has the best picture quality among all TVs in mass production as of the time of this review (May, 2009). Most importantly it has pitch dark black level, scorching brightness, high color accuracy, and good motion processing. I chose the Panasonic plasma over Sony and Samsung LCD for a few reasons. (1) Compared to 120Hz LCDs, Panasonic is significantly cheaper than Sony and Samsung. (2) I think the G10 is better in handling motion than the 120HZ LCDs. (3) The colors on the plasma are more appealing to me than those on the LCDs. (4) It has superior viewing angle. It looks perfect from any angle...

Good value; great picture quality
I've been researching flat panel TV's for about a year now, and thru showroom viewing, friends' recommendations, online reviews (purchasers and experts), and Consumer Reports, I had narrowed my field down to Sony LCD Z- and XBR Series, Samsung LCD and plasma(550, 650, 750), and Panasonic plasma (PZ-800, PZ-850). The Sonys had great picture quality but were pricey. Samsung also had some good values but I just cannot get past the "Touch of Color" red accents on their mid and upper level TVs. [Call me traditional, but I think TV's look best in black or gray.] The Panasonic sets from last year didn't look quite as bright in the showrooms (Best Buy, ABC Warehouse, others) as the LCD's but I just liked the picture quality better--more vivid colors and deeper blacks, better motion handling. The power consumption issue was a bit of a concern, but Panasonic claims that their 2009 sets are more energy efficient. I have found this to be the best of three different after-market TPMS that I've tried. This valve attachment location has proven more durable than the band technique. The simultanous four-time readout is more user-friendly than those readouts that require a button to be pushed repeatedly to change among multiple tires. This unit has proven appropriately sensitive to low tire pressures on multiple occasions. Economical. Highly recommended.

Excellent product, works exactly as described.
After having read reviews and researched Hella TC-400 and Orange Electronic P409s kits, I decided on the P409s because it is less expensive, less complicated to install, displays 4 tire pressure readings simultaneously and has one small display unit (vs a display unit AND receiver that the TC-400 requires). I installed the sensors myself onto brand new 18" BMW aluminum alloys and had my shop use a dial-type torque wrench to torque the valves (included in the kit) down to 4 newton meters (~35 inch pounds), exactly as the Orange Electronic P409s manual states. If you don't have a dial type torque wrench (not clicker), then you'll need one to install this kit. I then had them mount the tires on and as soon as they pressurized the tires, the sensors turned on. The kit includes absolutely everything you need: valve cores, valve stems, valve stem caps that say (sensor inside), and sensors. The only thing you need are wheels and tires. Finally, it takes...

This one gets only 4 1/2 stars because depending on where you place it, the display might not be readable in bright light conditions. However, the audible alarm will promptly alert you of anything headed south with your tire pressures.(UPDATE Dec 04, 2011: As of this date, I still own this Subaru and have put an ADDITIONAL 100,000 miles on it since the failure of the center differential that was suspected of being caused by one chronically low tire over the first 80,000+ miles under the most extreme of driving conditions with no hint of the second differential encountering a similar issue. While the potential consequences for damaging an expensive drive line component in an AWD system due to one low tire would appear to be arguable in theory as discussed by one knowledgeable commenter, the tolerances in today's AWD...

Awesome universal battery pack for Android and other devices
This product is very versatile, you can charge basically anything you want that requires 5V input. This is a Fast Charge device, i.e., it gives 1 A current, in contrast to normal USB in computer that gives 0.5 A or standard Samsung charger that gives 0.7 A. This device is good even for a large screen smartphones, like Galaxy Nexus, in the sense it will charge faster than computer and in the same time as factory fast charge charger. If you have normal smartphone one charge of battery pack will give you easily 2 full charges of your phone. I am using my Samsung micro USB charger to charge battery pack and I keep the pack in my bag just in case. When needed I use Samsung data charge micro USB cable (for example this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001XXUOQI) to charge my phone from the battery pack. Works great. Panasonic Plamsas: The Hidden Secret in TV value
There has to be something wrong with plasmas, right? That's what I kept telling myself as I searched for the perfect TV for my needs and budget. I mean, this TCP46G10 I was looking at was hundreds of dollars less than comparably sized LCD TVs, got better reviews from CNET and Consumer Reports, and had better motion handling and viewing angles. But I went to my local Best Buy or Fry's and only saw a few dusty plasmas in the corner of their showrooms. I got funny looks as I gave them some interest. I saw several other customers basking in the fluorescent glow of the inaccurately bright colors of the LCD screens and realized that these people were essentially moths drawn to a flame. That must be why LCDs are selling so well. What's more: It seemed like the LCDs (and even the LED-based LCDs) were touting all of these advancements that made their TVs more like plasmas. Great picture, good sound, great value!
I've had the TV for a few weeks to evaluate it before writing a review and I can say that overall I'm very happy. Normally on a purchase like this I would tend to have some kind of buyer's remorse but so far I haven't. The picture is great but as others have said, a bit dim on Standard. I've been using a customized Game setting for regular viewing which brightens things up a bit. The THX setting with Blu-Ray is great in a darkened room. I'm still playing with the picture settings, and while the experts seem to think there aren't enough to 'perfect' the picture quality I think there seem to be more than enough to adjust the TV to your preference. The sound is very good considering it has downward facing speakers. I've listened to other TVs with that configuration that sound downright terrible; the Panasonic is way better. For watching regular TV, sports, etc. where you don't want to turn on the whole surround system, you will be very happy with the sound quality...
